  • KUU-US services are for First Nations, by First Nations, and all crisis response personnel are certified and trained in Indigenous cultural safety bringing an understanding of First Nations history and trauma from the residential school to their roles. Topics the KUU-US Crisis Line can support individuals with include, but are not limited to, mental health issues and crisis related to residential school, child welfare, addiction, health concerns, divorce and separation, suicide ideation and survivorship, grief and loss, crime, abuse, peer pressure and financial distress.​

  • The Crisis Centre of BC is dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals, organizations, and communities. Spanning the spectrum of crisis support, suicide prevention, and postvention, we engage staff and volunteers in a variety of services and programs that educate, train, and support the strength and capacity of individuals and communities.

    We offer:

    • Immediate access to barrier-free, non-judgmental, confidential support and follow-up to youth, adults, and seniors throughout 24/7 phone lines and online services.

    • Education and training programs that promote mental wellness and equip schools, organizations and communities to assist people at risk of suicide.

  • Our programs work to ensure timely access to support, destigmatize suicide and mental health concerns, and increase awareness and skills for mental health. We engage a community of passionate volunteers. We foster and create compassionate, connected, suicide-safer communities.

  • Peer support service run by trans people, for trans and questioning callers. Our operators are located all over the U.S. and Canada and are all trans-identified. If you are in crisis or just need someone to talk to, even if it’s just about whether or not you’re trans, please call us. We will do our best to support you and provide you resources. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

National Indian Residential School Crisis Line

  • Indigenous Services Canada offers a National Indian Residential School Crisis Line to support former Residential School students. The crisis line provides emotional and crisis referral services 24 hours per day. 

WAVAW - Rape Crisis Centre

  • WAVAW offers trauma-informed feminist support to survivors of sexualized violence. Services are open to cis and trans women and people of all marginalized genders, including Two-Spirit, trans, and non-binary people.
